GET TO KNOW CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO AND SURROUNDINGS.

Discover the village of Castiglione del Lago and its history with the Fat 20 pedal assisted bicycle, moving freely with an eco-friendly vehicle, limiting fatigue. With a range of about 60 km you will be able to get to know the most interesting places in the area, visit the village, reach the panoramic points and travel along the lakefront, from the Lido Comunale to Lido Arezzo, all on the cycle path. You can embark the bike to reach the Polvese and Maggiore islands. If you want to venture out there is a beautiful cycle path surrounded by nature that partially runs along the shores of the lake until you reach the town of Passignano about 25 km away; if you want to continue you can complete the loop of the total lake route for about 60 km, almost all on the cycle path, mostly on the lake shore with suggestive panoramic views.

We have EBIKE Fat pedal assisted bicycles, i.e. equipped with large section tires and well cushioned to make driving comfort as easy as possible in total safety. The dimensions vary from a minimum seat height from the ground of 75 cm ("Little" model with 16-inch wheels) to 85 cm (FAT 20-inch model). Autonomies are approximately 60 km (from 30 to 65 based on some characteristics)

They are equipped with accessories including mobile phone holder with handlebar attachment, bottle holder, luggage rack, front and rear LED light, horn. We provide child seats for all ages, as well as a backpack carrier for our little 4-legged friends.

TRASIMENO CYCLE ROUTE:

In the naturalistic cycle path you can admire the wild flora and fauna with sites of various interest among which the place where the battle took place on June 21, 217 BC between the army of Rome led by the Consul Gaio Flaminio Nepote against the Carthaginians of Hannibal. You will pass through the various villages on the shores of the lake, from Borghetto, Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Passignano, Torricella, Monte del Lago, San Feliciano, San Savino, Sant' Arcangelo until returning to Castiglione del Lago for a total of 60 km.

Don't forget your camera or charcoal notebook because you'll find so many attractions on these excursions that you'll want to capture them all.

In addition to visiting the village and its surroundings, the recommended route is the Lake Trasimeno ring, an easy route on flat ground and almost always within the cycle path. There are many other itineraries, from visits to wine cellars to small excursions within Tuscany, being Castiglione del Lago a borderland between the two regions.
